Okay so, I looked all over this website and could not find anywhere to post this topic so hopefully this is the right place.
It took me so long to find, but I finally found it! If you type: 1360 S Blue Island Ave, Chicago, IL, which is the address of the fire station Chicago Fire is shot at, you can see the ambulance, what looks like the engine, and the battalion chief vehicle.
For some reason it is just very interesting to me how they used an actual fire house. I thought they had a set, but I guess I was wrong. Every time I look at the fire house I picture the Chicago Fire characters there. Like for example when Shay was in the hospital and Dawson and Severide were talking, I see them every time I look a that spot where they stood.
Just thought I would share that, thought it was cool. (:

Hi, Thanks for your post. I have seen interviews & it is on the NBC Chicago Fire Website that the show does use real equipment and have actual fire fighters on site for a lot of the filming on the shows. I can't imagine wearing 70 pounds of gear for the hours they are working, but they do. Jesse Spencer & Taylor Kinney both said how physically demanding it was , and they are both really fit and athletic (I think they are?) Anyways, I find that really adds a lot to the show.
