Probably something I just wanted to believe... But I wouldn't have expected a lack of protection of her, either. Since she was focused on her career I thought a unplanned pregnancy might be last thing she needed.... If this turns out not be his baby**wish, wish** I expect to SEE Mr.Severide buying some condoms!

Derek Haas just tweeted that last season's writing challenge was to fit the words "gold dubloons" into the script. I asked him if this season's challenge would be "Severide's condoms"....

I guess Severide used protection with Nicki cos A) she's a skank B) she'd have had sperm running down her legs when her dad met her at the station..... If Corinne is a lesbian she wouldn't need birth control but their liaison wasn't exactly planned Anna looked liked a pill girl Renee 2 was already pregnant when she met Kelly

I just finished watching tonight's re-broadcast of the Season 1 finale of CF, "Hell of A Ride" on NBC. I don't know what happened in other parts of the world but here in the US, the episode was tagged with a special remembrance for the 19 Prescott, AZ firefighters who perished this week in the Yarnell Hill fire. As an Arizonan, we are all hurting and we thank all parts of the country and the world for their outpouring of support. Firefighters from all over the country are hurting at the loss of their comrades. Tomorrow, as we celebrate our country's 237 birthday, what better way to celebrate than to approach a firefighter, first responder or police officer and thank them for their service. That's what I plan to do.
My apologies if this post bored my fellow fans from around the world.
To the cast, crew, production staff and to NBC, I say class move. Proud to be a fan of this wonderfully produced show. Mike W. Chandler, AZ

My husband is a former firefighter and what I have learned over the years is that it truly is a brotherhood that expands across the country and all over the world. There is no such thing as an "ex-firefighter"....as my husband says "Once a firefighter, always a firefighter" and a loss of a brother is felt deeply, no matter who they are or where they're from. Well done, NBC...and wrightso for bringing it to the forum's attention

I feel so bad for Shay! Her face just broke my heart. </3 I think (and hope) that since Casey wanted a child, and Hallie didn't, he will think about having one with Shay. Since they aren't very close, this will bring them closer together, too. Also, when Shay announced that she was going to have a baby, he went a congratulated her.

Chandler, AZ I did not see a tribute when I rewatched this episode but believe they most certainly deserve the respect and recognition for their bravery and sacrifice. Sincere condolences to the families of the Firefighters from Arizona. I would also like to add that in Calgary & smaller towns around in Alberta, we are recovering from major flooding/disasters.If not for the Firefighters, Police and other first responders & others invloved in the evacuations ect, many more lives could have been lost. I am having trouble expressing how I feel right now.It is still so overwhelming Thank God for these amazing heros.

I also feel so bad for Shay, but I couldn't imagine Casey as a 'donor daddy' for Shay. He would make a perfect father though. I can't wait to see what will happen in Season 2.

NOOOOOOOO.....Casey and Shay should not have a child together. Casey clearly wants a traditional wife and family...and Shay is definitely not the person for that. He needs to find a good woman to be his wife and the mother of his children...
